Started in the summer of 2017, El Diablito jerky is a tasty jerky that you won’t feel guilty eating. Because of the fish’s unique texture, El Diablito jerky brings a natural meatiness with no fishiness!
As an invasive fish, every delicious bite of El Diablito helps to restore the natural ecosystem. No concerns of overfishing or fish farming here!
Strengthening Communities
We work with artisanal fishermen to upcycle the hated, invasive "devil fish" or armored catfish into delectably meaty El Diablito jerky. This naughty devil causes a wide range of environmental and economic issues and currently accounts for up to 70% of the wild capture in places we work. By processing this invasive species, we're boosting local employment while helping restore the natural ecosystem.

Seafood On-the-Go
El Diablito is shelf-stable and comes in two delicious flavors - our smokey, peppery Original and spicy Fuego. Our products are high in protein but low in calories. Plus it doesn't have any fishy smell or taste - finally seafood you can take on a plane!

Rebuild Wild Fisheries
We work with artisanal fishermen in Mexico to harvest and process the invasive devil fish that outcompetes native species. By incentivizing the capture of devil fish, we're helping build back these native wild fish stocks that have sustained local populations for centuries.
